Think of it as the scaffolding around the cells that support their shape.
Your skin also is covered in tiny-oil producing glands to keep it pliable and youthful. During the aging process, these glands produce less oil, which leads to drier skin. And if you are stressed and also have trouble sleeping it probably shows in your face. When you don’t get enough sleep, your body releases more of the stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol can break down collagen.
